Transition Silicon Valley is envisioned to be an
incubator/umbrella organization for Transition groups within Silicon
Valley. Silicon Valley is too large to be effectively organized by one
Transition group. Hence it's likely there will be several Transition
Initiatives in the area. It is likely that a regional Transition group
will be of assistance to those local groups. At the moment this was
written the state of Transition Initiatives in Silicon Valley is at
their earliest stage.
Silicon Valley has many existing groups who have purposes similar to Transition. We want to utilize previously done research, and work with existing groups that are already implementing pieces of the Transition model. We want to create a map of Silicon Valley resources useful for Transition so that they are available to everyone.
