"King Corn" film screening at Sunnyvale Public Library, Sat. 5/9/15 3-6p

Films of Vision and Hope comes to the Sunnyvale Public Library. You are invited to join us at the library for the screening of "King Corn" on Saturday 5/9/2015 from 3 - 6p.

This film follows filmmakers Ian Cheney and Curt Ellis, best friends from college on the East Coast who move to the heartland to learn were their food comes from. With the help of friendly neighbors, they plant and grow a bumper crop of America's most productive, most subsidized grain on one acre of Iowa soil. But when they try to follow their pile of corn into the food system, what they find raises troubling questions about how we eat - and how we farm.
Here is a link to the trailer:

After the film, we will be hosting a lively discussion to explore the issues brought up in the film.
