Transition Palo Alto Share Faire
Location: Cubberley Community Center - Room H-6
4000 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto
Sunday, December 14, 2014
1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
The Holiday Share Faire is coming together. Are you ready to join us?
We've
got a new home, at Cubberley Community Center. We'll be in Room H-6
and some adjacent space outside. This means that rain will NOT cancel,
just shrink us a little bit. We won't be able to have a solar oven
demonstration in the rain, but we should be able to do most everything
else inside.
The address is 4000 Middlefield Rd, Palo Alto.
Cubberley is a big place. We're at the end near Piazza's, not far from
the Friends of the Palo Alto Library, which will be holding a book sale
at the same time.
We've got a number of great Skill Shares and activities confirmed and will consider adding a few more, including:
Hatha Yoga - Patricia Becker
Growing succulents - Stephanie Erskine
Solar Oven Demonstration - Diane Ruddle
Wreath Making, using plant material from your yard - Marianne Mueller
Water Saving Tips (some flow restrictors will be available) - Margaret Okuzumi
William
Mutch will lead the kids in reading stories. Herb Moore will be there
with some music. Nick Turner will be there with garden tips and
advice. Willi Paul is helping us create an exhibit to tell the story of
Transition.
And we'll have space set up to share garden produce, food, books, toys, clothes, holiday decorations and more.
Let
us know if you would like to help. Demonstrations are welcome.
Set-up, clean-up, greeters are very welcome. Answer this e-mail and
we'll find somewhere to fit you in.
You won't want to miss this. Mark your calendars. And get ready to Share!
