Can sustainable meat production ever satisfy the needs of consumers? Meet the farmers and food advocates who believe it can.
This acclaimed new documentary chronicles America’s grassroots revolution in sustainable meat production.
After describing the current industrial meat system, the film highlights the burgeoning sustainable, local-food movement made up of farmers, food advocates, chefs and everyday folks who are working to change how meat meat reaches the American table.
After the screening, local farmers and food advocates will discuss the film, and Q&A will follow the discussion. The panel includes:
• Graham Meriwether, the filmmaker
• Kelly Carlisle, founder and executive director of Acta Non Verba farm
• Peter Ruddock, environmental and food activist
• Sarah Greene Lopez, Fiesta Farm
