TSV October 100 Mile Potluck 10/28/2011 Intro to Slow Money
Transition October 100 Mile Potluck
Introduction to Slow Money
October 28, 2011, 7:00 PM
Come share the bounty of the season! Bring a dish with local, seasonal ingredients, if you can (pumpkin, grapes, apple cider, local meats, whatever). We'll share where our ingredients came from and how the dishes were prepared.
This month we'll talk about Slow Money, national, grassroots, non-profit organization, whose motto is Investing As If Food, Farms and Fertility Mattered. They are organizing people across the country to invest in sustainable businesses in their local foodshed. Founding Slow Money Norcal chapter member Marco Vangelisti will introduce us to Slow Money, and lead us in a discussion of possibilities for local investing.
Friends and family of all ages are welcome!
